I love my job. On a daily basis I get to remind people like you how awesome it is to be alive in the bodies we have.
As a Medical Intuitive, part of my job is to help people listen to their bodies and understand their bodies wisdom. It is quite empowering to understand what your body is trying to communicate. Often times, health concerns and issues are conversations spoken that haven’t been acknowledged or listen to. More often than not there is nothing wrong with the body as much as in the way you may be taking care of your body.
A simple step toward being able to hear your body speak more clearly is choosing to take time to focus on yourself when you eat. Consider removing all distractions from meal time. Turn off your phone, TV, and computer and take a few deep breaths… allowing yourself to really focus on your meal and how you are feeling. Check in with yourself. How are you feeling? How has the day affected you so far? Digestion starts as soon as you begin chewing your food. Chew slowly. Chew well. This is some of the best advice I can share when it comes to improving digestive health.
Did you know that consciously eating can also increase how your body breaks down and digests your food? When you multitask and eat, you will often eat too quickly, which taxes and stresses your digestive system. This can lead to stomachaches, bloating, over eating, and constipation. When you stop multitasking as you eat, your body relaxes. You will notice when you begin to feel full and stop eating before you normally would. If you notice you are feeling full, not stuffed, stop eating. It takes awhile for the body to break down the food you are eating, even after you feel full. When you start to feel full, stop eating.
Sometimes the healing concerns occurring in our bodies aren’t as mysterious as they seem. When you remember to take time to create silence and tune into your body, you are often able to clearly hear what is going on. When you remember to ask questions, you will likely get answers. It can really be as simple as that.
We have inspiring lives to live and deserve to live them pain-free and incredibly full of vitality. If you find you aren’t loving how you feel in your body, start with this simple step above and see if it makes a difference for you. Commit to it for 14 days… eating consciously, without distraction. Chew slowly. Stop eating when you begin to feel full. Take notes of what you notice about yourself because there will most definitely be things you notice.
