Connecting to Your Intuition … Your Heart

One of my favorite things I remind my clients when they come to me for intuitive guidance is how incredibly wise they are.

Inside each of us sits a vast amount of information. We are truly blessed with an incredible, intuitive compass that sits inside of our Hearts.

It is easy to forget how brilliant we really are. People often ask me what the trick is to staying tuned into their intuition. My answer is very simple… spend time with yourself. Put the pause button on and allow yourself to reset on a consistent basis. The world has a very strong external pull that can create a lot of self-doubt and feelings of dis-empowerment. Simply remembering to take time for ourselves helps us connect to our own internal pull. It is quite empowering.

A simple exercise I love to do to reconnect to my intuition takes about five minutes.

I tend to do this if I am feeling really confused about something.

When we forget to breathe deep, we play with ideas in our minds over and over again. When we remember to breathe, we become present and connect to our wisdom.

Sitting comfortably, close your eyes. Allow yourself to relax and soften the muscles of your face. Breathe in through the nose and slowly, with control, exhale out through the mouth. With every breath, you will begin to notice yourself getting a little bit more relaxed than the breath before.

When you feel settled and ready to focus a tad more, inhale… imagining a hose of energy that goes from your heart to about three feet outside of you, slowly coiling back into the center of your chest. As you exhale, allow your body to relax. Make sure your shoulders are relaxed and at ease. As you inhale, imagine the coil slowly pulling back into your heart (chest area) and as you exhale allow your body to relax. Do this over and over again for about five minutes. Slow, deep breaths. The slower and deeper the breaths, the better. Notice the clarity that you begin to feel as you remember to use conscious breathing as a powerful tool in your healing tool belt!

I love knowing that everything I need to live a joyful, radiant life I can find inside of myself at all time. Talk about empowerment!
