Every night on Facebook and Twitter, I hold Gratitude Parties. Gratitude Parties are where people from all over the world take time to share three things they are grateful for. I find myself often sitting back with a cup of tea enjoying reading the gems of gratitude that everyone comes up with—feeling inspired as to the simple things people find to be grateful for.
Oftentimes, I am asked what the connection between Healing and Gratitude is.
In order to allow our bodies the greatest ability to heal themselves, we need to be able to take inventory of where we are putting our focus, time, and energy. How much of our lives do we spend waiting for things to happen, trying to change people and situations around us, and focusing on things we really don’t like in our lives? I invite you to start paying attention.
Have you ever taken the time to notice how focusing on the things you don’t like makes you physically feel? Most often, when we focus on the things we don’t like—in people, situations, and ourselves—our bodies respond by feeling inflamed, stressed, tense, and anxious. As a Medical Intuitive, I am constantly reminding people that our bodies are always speaking to us, and it is our job to learn to listen.
When our bodies react in a tight and inflamed way, consider it a reminder that our bodies are whispering and reminding us to take a big deep breath and change our perspective and attitude.
Although we can’t control the thoughts as they come up, we can choose how long we are going to focus on these thoughts.

If we notice we are becoming irritated, inflamed, and tense, we have a choice what and how we are focusing on something. When we choose to take a deep breath and change our focus, we immediately become empowered and begin to relax in the moment. We feel relaxed and at peace inside; our bodies are in a state of harmony and are able to begin healing.
The more we focus on the things we don’t like in our lives, the more our healing battery will be drained and we will feel depleted.
Gratitude is a wonderful way of supporting our healing process. Each time we focus of something to be grateful for, we are reminded of the beauty in the moment and create a state of relaxation and presence. I always ask people not only to focus on Gratitude, but also breathe in the FEELING of what it FEELS like to be Grateful. Thinking Gratitude is one thing. Feeling Gratitude is a sensation that supports the body’s healing process.
Moments in our lives come and go. These moments add up to hours, then days, and become our entire lives. The more we choose to focus on the blessing in our moments, the more harmonious our bodies and minds will function. Gratitude creates Acceptance, and Acceptance creates a very profound foundation for healing.
It isn’t what happens in our lives that matters as much as the attitude behind which we are able to accept what is happening in our lives.
How beautiful would it be to create a Positively Positive Gratitude Party today? I am grateful for being able to hear the craziness around me in the cafe as I sit and write, being able to taste food, and my laptop that allows me to write wherever I go.
